Your Role at our Company:

We are seeking a dynamic and culturally aware HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our operations across based in Malaysia. This role will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders across multiple countries, ensuring HR practices align with regional needs and local labor laws. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Malaysia labor law, a deep understanding of local cultures, and the ability to work across diverse geographies and teams.

In addition to the HRBP responsibilities, this role will have hands-on exposure to HR Operations, ensuring effective execution of core HR processes and employee lifecycle activities in Malaysia. The role will work closely with business leaders, local HR teams, and COEs to provide both strategic HR partnership and operational HR support.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification or Master's degree is a plus).
  • 4-6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a business partner or regional HR role.
  • Prior experience in a multi-country regional HR role is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience in HR Operations, including employee lifecycle management, HR policies and procedures, payroll coordination, benefits administration, HRIS, and employee records.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia employment legislation and statutory requirements, including Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and related HR compliance matters.
  • Experience handling employee relations, HR policies, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and managers on people-related matters, including performance management, workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Ability to balance strategic HRBP responsibilities with hands-on HR Operations and execution.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and levels.
Your Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary HR partner for business units across the global, providing guidance and solutions aligned with company goals.
  • Provide expert support on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Collaborate with local HR teams and COEs (Centers of Excellence) to deliver regional HR initiatives and support global programs.
  • Support recruitment efforts and workforce planning to meet business demands globally.
  • Build strong relationships with local leadership teams to understand business challenges and identify HR solutions.
  • Use data and HR analytics to identify trends and support business decision-making.
  • Champion a culturally inclusive workplace that aligns with both local expectations and global standards.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects such as change management, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
  • Manage and support day-to-day HR Operations activities in Malaysia, ensuring smooth and effective execution of HR processes.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, changes in employment terms, and offboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently implemented and aligned with Malaysia employment legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with payroll and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee-related transactions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal requirements.
  • Support employee benefits administration and provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, and employment-related matters.
  • Handle and resolve employee relations and operational HR matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, attendance, and workplace concerns.
  • Support expatriate and employee mobility matters where required, including work permits, relocation, and related HR processes.
  • Partner with regional HR teams and COEs to implement global HR policies, programs, and initiatives while ensuring local requirements are addressed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to business leaders based on employee data, operational trends, and business needs.
