HR Business Partner / HR Generalist

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to support our employees and business operations in Malaysia and other regional markets as required.
This role combines HR business partnering and day‑to‑day HR operations, making it ideal for someone who can independently manage employee matters, recruitment, performance management, HR compliance and general HR administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers on employee relations, learning & development, performance management, workforce planning and HR matters.
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, employee changes and offboarding.
- Support and coordinate recruitment and selection for assigned roles.
- Handle employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, grievances and performance concerns.
- Support performance reviews, improvement plans and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and HRIS information.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave and employee benefits with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysia employment laws and company policies.
- Prepare employment letters, HR reports, employee communications and other HR documentation.
- Support HR projects, policy implementation and process improvements.
- Work closely with regional managers and employees across different countries and cultures.
- Communicate with Chinese‑speaking employees and stakeholders when required.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of HR Generalist / HR Business Partner experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience across employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR operations.
- Good working knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR compliance.
- Must be able to speak Chinese for communication with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple HR priorities.
- Comfortable working in a regional and fast‑paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting employees across Malaysia, China, Taiwan or other Asia‑Pacific markets.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing or multinational companies.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll coordination and regional HR processes.
