Job summary

Comet Group in Penang is seeking a detail-oriented HR/payroll professional to join the Plasma Control Technologies division. You will manage attendance, payroll, leave, and labour compliance, acting as first point of contact for employees on payroll matters.

The role requires 2–3 years supervisory HR experience, a Diploma in HR or related field, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication. You will work with Production and HR in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in HR, Business Admin or related field.
• 2–3 years supervisory experience in HR, payroll or employee relations.
• Experience in attendance management, disciplinary procedures and payroll processing.
• Excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and team-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage attendance, working hours, overtime, leave and MC records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor disciplinary matters and guide policy adherence.
• Support accurate and timely month-end payroll and allowance processing.
• Ensure confidentiality of employee data and payroll information.
• Act as the first point of contact for attendance, leave, disciplinary and payroll matters with Production and HR.
