Job summary

Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an HR Business Partner to support day-to-day HRBP activities and respond to routine employee inquiries. The role focuses on HR operations, reporting, dashboards and people initiatives, with emphasis on confidentiality and integrity.

You will collaborate with HR functions, drive performance management, employee relations, and policy implementation while contributing to continuous improvement and strategic people programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years HR experience, HRBP/Generalist preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles and Malaysian practices.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HRBP activities and respond to routine employee and manager inquiries.
• Support HR operations including attendance tracking, HR data, reporting, dashboards and employee records.
• Assist with employee engagement, HR communications, employee touchpoints, meetings and people initiatives.
• Support performance management and employee relations activities, including documentation and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with HR functions and support HR projects, policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for the business area Group Functions at the Penang site as a

HR Business Partner

What You Will Do

• Support day-to-day HRBP activities and respond to routine employee and manager enquiries, escalating complex matters when required.
• Support HR operations including attendance tracking, HR data, reporting, dashboards and employee records.
• Assist with employee engagement, HR communications, employee touchpoints, meetings and people initiatives.
• Support performance management and employee relations activities, including documentation, follow-ups and coordination of related processes.
• Coordinate with HR functions and support HR projects, policy implementation, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an HRBP or HR generalist role.
• Good understanding of HR principles, employee lifecycle processes and Malaysian employment practices.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills, with high confidentiality, integrity and willingness to learn.
