Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Manager - Operations for our manufacturing plant. You will lead manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance to ensure a productive, compliant workforce.
The role requires at least 5 years in plant HR operations, 3 years in a managerial capacity, and a strong grasp of labour laws and tax regulations, with high integrity and clear communication.
The HR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing human resource strategies and initiatives that support the manufacturing plant's operational and business objectives. The role oversees recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance with labor laws, and workforce planning to ensure a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce.
1) Workforce Planning & Recruitment:
Develop and implement manpower plans aligned with production requirements.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant employees, including operators, technicians, supervisors, engineers, and support staff.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
Build talent pipelines for critical manufacturing positions.
Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and succession plans
2) Employee Relations & Industrial Relations:
Foster positive employee relations and maintain a harmonious work environment.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
Conduct domestic inquiries and disciplinary investigations where necessary.
Liaise with unions, employee representatives, and government labor authorities.
Support collective bargaining agreements and industrial relations activities
3) Performance Management:
Lead performance appraisal processes across the plant.
Support managers in setting KPIs and performance objectives.
Monitor employee performance and recommend improvement plans
Manage employee benefits programs, including insurance and wellness initiatives.
Monitor overtime, shift allowances, attendance incentives, and statutory payments.
5) Compliance & HR Administration:
Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Support audits related to labor compliance and certifications.
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics
6) Employee Engagement & Culture:
Organize employee engagement, recognition, and welfare programs.
Conduct employee surveys and monitor engagement levels.
