The role focuses on developing strategic HR initiatives aligned with the university's mission and ensuring regulatory compliance across the workforce. You will drive recruitment, onboarding and performance management while partnering with senior leaders to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace and support

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably in education or similar complex org.
• Expertise in HR policy development, recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures and strategies.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle including job postings, screening, interviewing and selection.
• Oversee onboarding programmes for new staff integration.
• Administer compensation and benefits programmes including payroll, leave management and entitlements.
• Manage performance management systems, appraisals and staff development.
• Handle employee relations, including dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures.

About the role

LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY OF CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Human Resources team. This is a full-time position based in Cyberjaya, Selangor. As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic human resources initiatives that support the university's mission and drive organisational excellence. This position is integral to fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and supporting the growth and development of our diverse workforce across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing comprehensive HR policies, procedures and strategies aligned with the university's objectives and best practices in the education sector
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection to build a high-performing workforce
• Overseeing employee onboarding programmes to ensure smooth integration of new staff members into the organisation
• Administering compensation and benefits programmes, including payroll processing, leave management and employee entitlements
• Managing performance management systems, conducting appraisals and supporting staff development and career progression
• Handling employee relations matters, including dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures and maintaining staff wellbeing initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws, regulations and labour standards
• Coordinating training and development programmes to enhance staff competencies and professional growth
• Maintaining accurate HR records and preparing reports on HR metrics and key performance indicators
• Supporting management and senior leadership with HR advisory services and strategic workforce planning
• Fostering an inclusive and positive workplace culture that reflects the university's values and commitment to diversity

What we're looking for

• Degree qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably in an educational institution or similar complex organisational environment
• Proven expertise in HR policy development, recruitment, employee relations and performance management
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels and senior leadership
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently whilst maintaining high standards
• Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in managing HR projects and implementing organisational change initiatives
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use HR data to inform strategic decision-making
• A commitment to diversity, inclusion and creating an equitable workplace environment
• Preferred experience in higher education HR management or familiarity with academic institutional structures
