Job summary

Kah Motor Malaysia in Penang is seeking an HR Generalist to support payroll, attendance, recruitment, and employee relations. You will maintain accurate records, manage lifecycle events, and assist with training and compliance across the organization.

The role requires 1–2 years of HR generalist experience, knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, and strong communication skills in English. Mandarin is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Penang.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of HR generalist experience.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.
• Experience in recruitment, payroll administration, employee relations, and HR operations.
• Able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of English; Mandarin is an added advantage when communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave administration, overtime, and statutory submissions.
• Support performance management activities, including probation reviews and annual performance appraisals.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is updated and compliant.
• Administer employee lifecycle activities, including confirmation, transfer, promotion, resignation, and exit clearance.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment process: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
• Support employee relations by addressing HR inquiries, handling disciplinary matters, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Organize employee training, development programmes, and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Prepare HR reports, analyse workforce data, and provide administrative support to the HR department.
• Assist with HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
