Job summary

Secret Recipe Cakes & Cafe Sdn Bhd invites applications for an HR role based in Petaling Jaya. The position involves employee relations, payroll processing, recruitment, and comprehensive HR administration in a dynamic lifestyle cafe group with regional presence.

The ideal candidate has relevant education and 0.5–2 years of experience in HR, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Willingness to work at Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya is required. Internship experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Assist in handling employee relation issues including show cause, domestic inquiry, employee counseling and misconduct investigation.
• Counsel, educate, and train employees on disciplinary matters.
• Strong follow up to ensure cases are concluded according to procedures and legislations.
• Meet witnesses and conduct interrogation during IR case investigations.
• Process monthly payroll timely and accurately.
• Calculate and administer statutory deductions including EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and EIS contributions.
• Verify and reconcile payroll data including attendance, overtime, allowances and deductions.
• Produce monthly payroll reports and reconciliations.
• Ensure payroll is compliant with statutory requirements and submission deadlines.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, benefits and related matters.
• Administer new hires, promotions, transfers, re-designation and termination records.
• Ensure welfare and benefits are administered per terms of employment.
• Manage welfare of foreign workers ensuring hostels comply with Act 446.
• Prepare paperwork and letters to communicate company directives to employees.
• Coordinate staff recruitment activities and selection process including sourcing, pre-screening, shortlisting and interviewing.
• Receive job applications and record employee information in HR database.

Responsibilities

• Liable to participate in career fairs and coordinate with recruitment channels for talent sourcing.
• Build rapport with colleges/universities for talent sourcing purposes.
• Assist in the handling of payroll and statutory deductions.
• Maintain employee data accuracy and HR records.
• Support HR processes from recruitment to off-boarding as needed.
