IBIDEN Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) on a contract basis based in Bukit Minyak, Penang. The role is strategic, serving as a trusted adviser to business leaders and driving HR initiatives aligned with corporate objectives to foster a high-performing workforce.

The HRBP will lead employee relations, talent acquisition support, development programs, and organisational development while ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws and company

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience as HRBP or similar strategic HR role in manufacturing or complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and compliance.
• Expertise in employee relations, performance management and OD.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent project management and ability to handle multiple initiatives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for non-HR audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
• Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• HR certification (CIPD/SHRM) desirable; multinational experience advantageous.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join IBIDEN Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd on a contract basis. This is a strategic role based in Bukit Minyak, Penang, offering an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisation's human resources function. As an HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving HR initiatives that align with our corporate objectives and fostering a high-performing, engaged workforce. This position is integral to supporting our business operations and ensuring that our people strategy directly contributes to organisational success.

Key responsibilities

Act as a strategic HR advisor to business unit leaders, providing tailored HR solutions and guidance on people-related matters

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives and drive organisational performance

Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary processes

Support talent acquisition and retention strategies, including recruitment planning and succession management

Design and deliver learning and development programmes that enhance employee capabilities and career progression

Lead organisational development initiatives, including change management and culture-building activities

Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment legislation, regulations and company policies

Conduct workforce analytics and reporting to inform strategic HR decisions and business planning

Collaborate with the HR team to implement best practices and improve HR service delivery

Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on HR best practices and employee management

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline

Minimum 5-7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role within a manufacturing or similar complex organisational environment

Strong understanding of Malaysian employment law, regulations and compliance requirements

Proven expertise in employee relations, performance management and organisational development

Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across all levels

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate HR concepts to non-HR audiences

Advanced proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making

Certification in HR practice (such as CIPD, SHRM or equivalent) is highly desirable

Experience in a multinational or international organisation is advantageous
