Indium Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Assistant HR Manager in Batu Kawan to lead site HR operations and partner with manufacturing leaders on workforce planning and organization design.

You will manage end-to-end HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance actions, payroll coordination and compliance across the site, while driving continuous improvement in HR processes and audit readiness.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of progressive full-spectrum HR experience including at least 3 years in a senior HR generalist/HRBP/management role.
• Significant hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments including factory-floor employee matters, shift work and manpower planning.
• Strong practical knowledge of Malaysian employment law, employee/industrial relations, payroll coordination and statutory compliance.
• Experience preparing for and supporting audits (IATF 16949, ISO, RBA, customer audits) preferred.

ASSISTANT HR MANAGER | HR OPERATIONS & MANUFACTURING HRBP

The Assistant HR Manager is the operational HR lead and a trusted business partner to manufacturing and functional leaders at Indium Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. This role takes end-to-end ownership of the full HR spectrum, leads day-to-day HR delivery and provides manager-level advice on workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, compliance, people development and organizational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

Lead daily site HR operations and coach the local HR team; ensure timely, consistent delivery of HR services across manufacturing and support functions.

Partner with management on organization design, staffing plans, manpower budgets, succession needs, workforce productivity and change initiatives.

Provide sound, commercially balanced HR guidance to department heads on people risks, decisions and policy interpretation.

Oversee the complete employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, probation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, performance actions, exits and offboarding.

Supervise employee records, HRIS accuracy, attendance, shift rosters, overtime, leave, payroll inputs, statutory submissions and benefit administration.

Handle grievances, misconduct, investigations, disciplinary procedures, domestic inquiries, performance issues and sensitive separations with proper documentation.

Ensure compliance with Malaysia employment and industrial relations legislation, applicable statutory requirements and internal policies.

Drive recruitment delivery for production, technical and professional roles, including high-volume hiring and urgent manufacturing headcount requirements.

Own HR and training audit preparation and evidence management for applicable IATF 16949, ISO, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), customer and internal audits.

Develop meaningful HR metrics and dashboards covering headcount, vacancy ageing, time-to-fill, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, training and HR service levels.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; professional HR qualification is an advantage.

At least 8 years of progressive full-spectrum HR experience, including 3 years in a senior HR generalist, HRBP, supervisory or management role.

Substantial hands-on experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment, including factory-floor employee matters, shift work, overtime and operational manpower planning.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end HR operations and lead an HR team while influencing senior managers.

Strong practical knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, employee/industrial relations, disciplinary processes, payroll coordination and statutory compliance.

Direct experience preparing for and supporting HR/training compliance audits; exposure to IATF 16949, ISO, RBA and customer audits is strongly preferred.

Proven capability in workforce planning, high-volume recruitment, performance management, employee engagement and HR process improvement.

Strong analytical judgement, Excel/HRIS skills, written communication, confidentiality and the ability to manage competing operational priorities.

Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; capable of engaging employees, supervisors and senior leadership.

Must be willing to work on site in Batu Kawan.
