To execute headquarters' HR strategies, policies, and initiatives at the plant level while managing daily local HR and administrative operations. Ensures full compliance with Malaysian employment laws, smooth local payroll administration, talent acquisition, and strong local workforce management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Policy Implementation: Operationalize and implement HQ-driven HR policies, procedures, and initiatives tailored to local factory operations.
- Corporate Alignment: Serve as the local HR liaison, providing operational feedback and data insights to HQ to support company-wide strategy planning.
- Localization & Compliance: Ensure all HQ policies and guidelines strictly comply with the Malaysian Employment Act 1955, PDPA, HRD Corp, and local statutory laws.
2. Daily HR Operations & General Administration
- Employee Lifecycle: Execute end-to-end personnel processes (onboarding, probation monitoring, status changes, and offboarding).
- HR Documentation: Issue contracts, confirmation letters, salary adjustment memos, and local announcements based on HQ/Management approvals.
- Records & File Management: Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential personnel records in the local and global HR systems.
3. Plant Payroll & Statutory Compliance
- Payroll Execution: Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately for plant employees (basic salary, overtime, allowances, and deductions).
- Statutory Submissions: Manage timely contributions and reporting for EPF (KWSP), SOCSO (PERKESO), EIS, and PCB (Monthly Tax Deductions).
- Reporting to HQ/Finance: Submit monthly payroll reconciliation and summary reports for HQ/Finance review.
4. Local Recruitment & Onboarding
- Selection & Hiring: Conduct candidate screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and pre‑employment medical clearance.
- New Hire Onboarding: Conduct local orientation programs to help new hires integrate smoothly into company culture and safety standards.
5. Timekeeping, Leave & Performance Execution
- Attendance & Overtime Tracking: Monitor shift/daily attendance, verify overtime claims, and ensure compliance with legal working hour limits.
- Leave Management: Administer leave entitlement (annual, medical, hospitalisation, etc.) in accordance with company policy and local laws.
- Performance Reviews: Execute HQ‑designed performance management cycles, including probation evaluations, KPIs tracking, and annual appraisals.
6. Training & HRD Corp Management
- Training Execution: Coordinate employee training schedules aligned with plant operational requirements and HQ development frameworks.
- HRD Corp Administration: Submit grant applications, process claims, and maintain training records for local audit compliance.
7. Employee Relations & Local Benefits
- Benefits & Insurance: Administer employee medical schemes, worker insurance programs, claims, and policy updates.
- Employee Engagement & Relations: Handle local worker grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace communications to maintain high morale and a harmonious working environment.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Support HQ‑assigned HR projects and handle special operational tasks assigned by Management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Psychology or equivalent..
- At least 2 years of working experience in the Manufacturing Industry or related field.
- Required Skill(s): Basic Labor Law
- Ability to work independently and committed todelivery on time
