Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a HR professional to manage Southeast Asia recruitment, HR operations and payroll for Malaysia, with strong focus on policy compliance and employee relations.

You will handle onboarding, payroll processing, and statutory contributions while maintaining confidential employee records and supporting local labor law compliance. English proficiency is essential; additional SEA language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and payroll processing.
  • End‑to‑end recruitment experience in medical/healthcare fields.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • English proficiency required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full recruitment lifecycle for Southeast Asia roles including postings, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies and channels.
  • Oversee onboarding with contract preparation and training to ensure cultural fit and regulatory compliance.
  • Consolidate attendance records, overtime, unpaid leave and shift differentials for Malaysia.
  • Prepare payroll data in line with company policies and statutory contributions (EPF/SOCSO/EIS/PCB).
  • Maintain accurate HR records and statutory documentation for audit readiness across the region.
  • Ensure HR policies align with local labour laws and company guidelines.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary matters, performance management and employee relations.

This role encompasses talent acquisition for Southeast Asia, HR operations and payroll administration with a focus on Malaysia, policy and employee relations support, and laboratory and office administration responsibilities.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for Southeast Asia roles, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, offer management and onboarding process
  • Work together with hiring manager to develop effective sourcing strategies and channels
  • Be responsible for the onboarding process of new hires, including employment contract preparation, onboarding training to ensure a smooth integration into the company culture and compliance with local documentation requirements
  • Consolidate and verify monthly attendance records, including overtime, unpaid leave, and shift differentials for Malaysia employees
  • Prepare accurate payroll data for processing in compliance with company policies
  • Administer and ensure timely submission of statutory contributions for Malaysia, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB
  • Manage employee benefits, including medical claims, insurance renewals, and leave management, serving as the primary point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll and statutory deductions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, HR databases, and statutory documentation for audit readiness across the region
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned with local labor laws and company guidelines
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees and management on disciplinary issues, performance management, and employee relations matters
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or above
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant working experience in HR, preferably within a multinational work environment
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and payroll processing
  • Mature experience in managing end-to-end recruitment processes in medical/healthcare field
  • Excellent communication skills; Strong problem-solving abilities
  • English is a must,skilled in more languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of other SEA markets is an advantage
