Job summary

J&T Express is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor and enforce workplace safety across its gateway and warehouse facilities in Malaysia. The role involves conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring PPE compliance for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

You will organize safety briefings and drills, oversee emergency preparedness, and maintain accurate safety records. A strong understanding of Malaysian safety regulations and practical training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace safety within logistics or warehousing is preferred.
• Familiarity with DOSH regulations and OSHA 1994 is advantageous.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.

- Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards within thegateway and warehouse areas.

- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases, and prepareinvestigation reports.

- Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors adhere to safety requirementsand use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.

- Organize and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and safetyawareness programs.

- Monitor emergency preparedness, including fire prevention measures,evacuation procedures, and emergency response plans.

- Maintain safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

- Coordinate with relevant departments to implement corrective andpreventive actions for safety issues.

- Ensure compliance with DOSH, OSHA 1994, and other applicable Malaysiansafety regulations.

- Promote a positive safety culture and continuously improve workplacesafety standards.
