Job summary

OHG Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations across rooms, laundry, public areas, and related facilities in Sandakan, Sabah. You will schedule, assign and supervise staff to uphold the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance standards, while coordinating with Front Office and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Housekeeping, with supervisory experience.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proven ability to supervise teams, implement SOPs and recover guest issues.
• Good knowledge of laundry operations, linen control and inventory management.
• Calm, proactive and hands-on with guest satisfaction focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Housekeeping operations and team activities.
• Allocate tasks, manage rosters and monitor attendance, grooming and performance.
• Inspect guest rooms, VIP rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Handle guest requests, feedback, complaints and Lost & Found matters.
• Monitor linen, amenities, equipment, supplies and monthly inventory.
• Conduct quality inspections and follow up on maintenance issues.
• Train and coach Housekeeping team members on SOPs, service standards and safety procedures.
• Work closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain shift handovers, daily reports and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety requirements and Ormond's standards.
• Act as Housekeeping Manager in absence when required.

Job description

The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to schedule, assign, supervise and assist in the upkeep of all housekeeping operations on the floor assigned to you to the highest standard of cleanliness and maintenance. To assist in any assignment within the department promptly and whenever necessary. This role covers and oversees the laundry, rooms and public area, landscape, cleanliness of pool and gym.

What Will You Do?

• Supervise and coordinate daily Housekeeping operations and team activities.

Who Must You Be?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Housekeeping, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Proven experience in team supervision, SOP implementation and guest service recovery.
• Good knowledge of laundry operations, chemicals, linen control and inventory management.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated stability and reliability in previous employment.
• Comfortable using Opera Cloud PMS, POS and other hospitality technology.
• Calm, proactive and hands-on, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and team development.
