Job summary

The role is full-time and involves guiding the maintenance team, coordinating with contractors and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will perform inspections, manage records and participate in budgeting and resource planning while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably within the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members, contractors and guests.
• Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and tools.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance team and coordinating all hotel maintenance activities.
• Perform inspections and identify issues to address proactively.
• Ensure maintenance work meets high standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to oversee repairs and improvements.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, costs and inventory.
• Provide training and development opportunities for the maintenance team.
• Support budgeting, planning and resource allocation for maintenance.
