Mercure Penang Beach is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team in Penang. You will conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and perform repairs to keep hotel facilities operating at high standards.

You will work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and kitchen equipment, respond to guest and staff requests, and keep detailed maintenance records. The role supports a safe, guest‑friendly environment and offers a path for career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance or hotel engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems desirable.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on hotel mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, implement solutions.
• Carry out repairs and component replacements throughout the property.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts used and labour hours.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain and organise maintenance tools, equipment and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with external contractors for specialised repairs.
