Job summary

AUSTIN LEISURE SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru is seeking an energetic Hotel Event Operation Assistant to coordinate and manage all aspects of event operations, from planning to completion.

You will supervise events on-site to ensure smooth execution and high-quality attendee experiences. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in relevant fields, at least 2 years’ experience in events, and proficiency in English and/or Bahasa Melayu.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration or a related field required.
• At least 2 years of working experience in events or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or event experience welcome.
• Proficiency in English and/or Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rehearsals, venue setup, guest arrival, event proceedings, and dismantling activities.
• Be present during events to supervise operations and resolve issues promptly.
• Set up event spaces, manage equipment, and ensure all necessary materials are in place.
• Provide support and address inquiries or issues that may arise.
• Lead teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and aligned with event schedules.
• Deliver high-quality events that meet clients' and attendees' expectations.
• Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
• Carry out other duties as required.
