Job summary

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is seeking an energetic procurement professional to manage purchases and supplier relationships within our premier hotel. You will process purchase requests, issue POs, and ensure procurement activities align with hotel procedures while supporting smooth operations.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field, at least two years in procurement, strong admin skills, negotiation ability, English proficiency, and familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Admin, Procurement, Hospitality, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience in hospitality.
• Strong admin and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement/ERP systems.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and generate purchase orders through the procurement system.
• Review purchase lists and non-store requests from departments to ensure accuracy.
• Source quotations from suppliers and ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and follow up on orders for timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding and undelivered orders and escalate delays when necessary.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and filing systems.
• Support urgent and small-value purchases when required.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and environmental sustainability practices.
