Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic regulations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to join the team at Destiny Integrated Logistics Services Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Bintulu, Sarawak, and represents a key role within our Road Transport operations. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining heavy vehicles whilst delivering goods and materials to various locations. This role is essential to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our clients efficiently and reliably.

What you’ll be doing

Operating heavy vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies

Transporting goods and materials to designated locations on scheduled routes

Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition

Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries and any incidents or accidents

Loading and unloading cargo, or supervising the loading and unloading process as required

Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues

Adhering to safety protocols and defensive driving techniques to minimise risks

Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed

Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times

What we’re looking for

Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (Class 2 or equivalent) for Malaysia

Minimum 3 years of professional heavy vehicle driving experience

Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in Malaysia

Excellent mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance

Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads as required

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately

Professional attitude and punctuality

Familiarity with local routes in Sarawak is advantageous

First Aid certification is preferred but not essential
