Job summary

KPJ Sri Manjung Specialist Hospital is seeking an IT Support professional to join our IT Services team. You will deliver frontline IT support to staff, manage backups, troubleshoot issues, and assist with new projects and security improvements.

You will participate in meetings, monitor master files, and report changes to the Operations Manager to ensure service quality. This role requires understanding hospital IT needs and working within our vision and objectives.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hospital IT operations and ITIL-like practices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow procedures.
• Basic knowledge of backups, security, and preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to participate in meetings and report issues.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new IT projects.

Responsibilities

• Understands and carries out IT support in line with Vision, Mission, and Goals of the hospital IT services.
• Understands the service organization structure.
• Attends meetings held by the services to discuss IT operation issues.
• Receives calls from staff and provides IT support.
• Ensures backups, troubleshooting, new projects, master files, preventive maintenance, procurement, and security are properly carried out.
• Supervises IT staff in daily running of IT Services.
• Informs the Operations Manager when changes occur in IT services.

• 1. Understands and carries out IT support in line with Vision and Mission, philosophy, Goals and Objectives that suit the scope of IT services and the hospital.
• 2. Understands the service organization structure.
• 3. Attends meetings held by the services in order to discuss issues and matters pertaining to the operation of the service.
• 4. Receives calls from staff and provides IT support.
• 5. Ensures the following are properly carried: Backup Trouble shoot Implementation of new projects Management of master files Preventive maintenance Procurement Security
• 6. Supervises IT staff in daily running of IT Services
• 7. Informs the Operations Manager when changes occur in circumstances that affect standard of IT Services
