Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad’s KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support nursing and clinical staff in operating the facilities system and to maintain cleanliness around the hospital and surrounding areas in Penang.

Responsibilities include touching up interior painting, repairing ceilings, rectifying leaks, and ensuring proper use of supplies and power. The role requires adherence to hospital policies and safety regulations and active participation in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Support nursing and other clinical staff in operation of facilities system.
• Keep the hospital and surroundings clean and well maintained.
• Adhere to hospital policies and Code of Conduct.
• Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing and clinical staff in operating facilities systems.
• Keep Hospital & Surrounding areas clean (Roofing, Balcony, Fire Exit Staircase, Drains, Compound, Landscaping, Car Parking Area).
• Touch up internal building painting.
• Repair or touch up ceiling in the building.
• Rectify leaking problems.
• Complete job requests and maintain in standard filing system.
• Check stock level for parts, paints and related chemical use.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the work area.
• Report complaints to Head of Service promptly.
• Ensure proper utilization of supplies and power to avoid waste.
• Adhere to hospital policies and Code of Conduct.
• Carry out duties as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and regulations 1994.

2. 2.Ensure the Hospital & Surrounding are kept clean. (Roofing, Balcony, Fire Exit Staircase, Drains, Compound, Landscaping, Car Parking Area)

9. 9. Report soonest all complaints etc. to Head of service.

11. 11. Adhere to hospital policies and Code of Conduct.


12. 12. To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:- a. To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; b. To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; c. To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer; d. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.

14. 14. Ensure all Hospital policies and procedures and Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.


15. 15. Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times


16. 16. Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards


17. 17. Any appropriate job assigned by Superior Jon Requirement SPM or equivalent.
