Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking an IT support professional to assist end-users with Hospital Information System 2 (HITS2) and related hospital software. The role includes troubleshooting across multiple systems such as Bed Management, SMS Trio, KCIS2, Encoremed, and QMS, as well as installing/updating software and managing IT devices.

The ideal candidate will maintain AD accounts, ensure security, and assist in setting up equipment for events, while upholding hospital policies and data

Responsibilities

• Support end-users on issues related to Hospital Information System 2 (HITS2) and other hospital IT systems (Bed Management, SMS Trio, KCIS2, Encoremed, QMS).
• Manage user accounts, groups, and access levels in Active Directory and email systems.

Job description

ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

1. Support end-users on matter /problem concerning the “Hospital Information System 2” Software (HITS2), Bed Management System, SMS –Trio Mobile System, KCIS2 System, Encoremed, QMS System, Astro-TV Channel, Install/Update Software, PC Software and IT devices.
2. New price adjustment code request (HITS2).
3. Monitoring HITS2 Backup.
4. Maintain Manage Print System-HP, Canon & Printer Fuxi Xerox.
5. Manage users, groups, access level in Active Directory & Email users.
6. Setup Laptop & LCD Projector for any event.
7. Inventory, serial number, license documentation.
8. EMS (Environmental Monitoring System) for Server Room.
9. PPM (Plan Preventive Maintenance) for Network, UPS, Server & Storage.

HUMAN RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT

1. Takes personal responsibility for own professional development and keeps up to date with professional change and growth by maintaining mandatory training hours.
2. Participates in the orientation of new members of staff to the services.
3. Participates actively in any other new service that is introduced.
4. Maintain the record of personal leave and training attended.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1. Adheres to the hospital policies, procedures, and services code of conduct/ policies.
2. Maintain confidentiality of patient’s / staff data personal and medical history.
3. Ensure adherence to Prevention and Control of Infection.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

1. Assists the qualified staff in the following: i. Maintains proper storage of all equipment/computer/ Xerox machine assigned in the services. ii. Check all equipment to ensure that they are in good condition and ready to be used at all times. iii. Report if there is any faulty. iv. Maintains adequate supply of services stock. v. Keeps accurate records of the above equipment.

SAFETY AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES

1. Complies and promotes any recognized hospital Policies, and protect, promote and support Hospital activities.
2. Participates actively in any other new service that is introduced by the services.
3. Ensure staff comply with and adhere to policies and procedures related to quality and safety systems, the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), and Standard People Practices.
4. Participates in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements
5. Practices Standard People Practice (SPP) at all times.
6. Ensure compliance of Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety.
7. Ensure proper incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis are conducted, with appropriate corrective and preventive actions implemented.
8. Policies on patient and family rights are addressed at all times
9. Participates actively and encourages compliance to all policies and Procedures of QMS9001: 2015, EMS 14001, OSH 45001, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards, Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards, PSG and NNA.
10. Complies with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
11. Carries out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; To cooperate with the outsourcing parties or any other persons in the discharge of any duty; To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer; To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
12. Compliance to general terms:- Personal appearance Is appropriate for the work environment and meets expectation for the proper image of the hospital, as per services policies.
13. Attendance Following hospital’s policy regarding punctuality and attendance

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE SPECIFIC AREAS (If any)

1. Setup PA System for any event.
2. Attending issue Astro.
