Job summary

GEO Resort & Hotel in Genting Highlands seeks a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring all kitchen, restaurant and banquet areas stay clean and hygienic.

You will supervise washing of plates and utensils, train staff on cleaning procedures, manage schedules and stock, and ensure safe handling of chemicals while upholding food safety and SOP compliance across the resort’s facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the washing and cleaning of plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Ensure all stewarding staff follow proper cleaning and hygiene procedures
• Prepare staff schedules and assign daily duties
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming and work performance
• Conduct daily briefings and provide instructions to the stewarding team
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Monitor the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, drains, garbage areas and other working areas
• Ensure proper garbage disposal and waste management procedures
• Monitor the condition and availability of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Maintain sufficient stock of detergents, chemicals and other stewarding supplies
• Train new stewarding staff on cleaning procedures and safe work practices
• Maintain proper records of cleaning schedules, equipment and stock
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company SOPs
