Job summary

Private Advertiser in Ipoh seeks a Head of Test Engineering to lead the global test engineering organization, directing product and test engineering teams from Ipoh. You will define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business and customer needs, building capabilities for scalable growth.

You will oversee semiconductor test solutions across ATE platforms, drive innovation in testing methodologies, and ensure robust processes for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in semiconductor industry.
• Minimum 8–10 years in leadership or senior management roles.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, OSAT or IDM semiconductor operations, advanced packaging and test technologies.
• Leadership of large engineering organizations with multiple customer programs and cross-regional teams.

Head of Test Engineering (Based in Ipoh)

Lead and manage the global test engineering organization, including product and test engineering teams

Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business and customer requirements

Build strong engineering capabilities to support scalable and sustainable growth

Technical Excellence

Oversee development and optimization of semiconductor test solutions across ATE platforms

Drive innovation in test methodologies, coverage, and cost efficiency

Ensure robust test processes for new product introduction (NPI) and high-volume manufacturing

Product & Program Management

Manage engineering support for multiple customer programs simultaneously

Ensure successful product bring-up, qualification, and ramp to volume production

Collaborate closely with customers on technical requirements and engineering solutions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution

Partner with design, customers, and external stakeholders on product engineering activities

Drive alignment across global teams to ensure consistent engineering practices

Customer Technical Support

Provide high-level technical interface for global customers

Ensure responsiveness to customer requirements, escalations, and engineering challenges

Build strong relationships and credibility through engineering excellence

Qualifications & Experience

Experience
