Job Description
We are looking for a NPI Test Development Product Engineer to join our team in Penang to be part of the worldwide Communications Business Unit team, CBU. As a NPI Test Development Product Engineer, you will be joining a team which is focused on working with state-of-the-art technologies like Carrier Ethernet, PCIe, ASA PHY, NAND FLASH, and DDR to develop ATE test programs and perform characterization to ensure timely delivery of products to customers while maintaining high quality and yields. You will be working with design teams to define and develop test methods optimized for test cost and test coverage. You will also be working with engineers in Asia for new product introduction and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high quality and cost effective Test Program using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) both at package and wafer form.
- Work across boundaries with design team to perform ATPG vector generation.
- Responsible for test hardware design like probe card, dutboard and burn in board.
- Develop and implement universal test method that is standard/common to all products.
- Perform characterization across split lots using ATE.
- Work with product reliability engineers to define reliability test requirements for individual product and package qualification.
- Perform statistical analysis of test data to demonstrate correlation between lab, ATE, and datasheet.
- Support Ops Team on new NPI startup and HVM deployment activity.
- Interface with Manufacturing Operations and engineering teams to address low yield issue in alignment with MRB standard process.
- Reduce the cost by improving yields and reducing test time.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering field.
- Microelectronic, Electrical, or Computer Engineering fields are preferred.
- Good understanding of Automated Test Equipment for Quality and Reliability testing.
- Good understanding of semiconductor test methodologies.
- Strong scripting and programming skills. Experience using C, C++, UNIX, Linux, Perl or Python is an added advantage.
- Positive attitude and self-motivation towards learning and development.
- Good analytical mindset and enjoys problem solving.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals and CMOS circuits.
- Demonstrated ability to meet schedules.
