Role Description

The Senior Staff Engineer Test is a full-time, hybrid role based in Melaka, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing test strategies and methodologies for semiconductor products, ensuring robust coverage, quality, and reliability across the product lifecycle. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining test requirements, overseeing test program development, analyzing test data, and driving improvements in yield, performance, and cost. The Senior Staff Engineer Test collaborates closely with design, product engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless transfer to high-volume production. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in test infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in semiconductor test engineering, including test strategy development, test program creation, and test coverage analysis for analog and/or digital devices.
• Proficiency with automated test equipment (ATE) platforms and related tools, as well as measurement techniques and instrumentation used in high-volume semiconductor testing.
• Solid skills in data analysis, statistical methods, and problem-solving to interpret test results, optimize yield, and drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience collaborating across design, product, manufacturing, and quality teams, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and constructively.
• Background in continuous improvement, including familiarity with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches to improve test efficiency and robustness.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field; several years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor test or product engineering.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and mentor less experienced colleagues in test methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in power Mosfet with ETS88 tester platform brings in high advantages.
