Private Advertiser seeks a Technical Director to define and drive the technology roadmap for Semiconductor ATE, automation, and related testing solutions. You will lead product development, manage budgets and risks, and oversee diverse engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products.
The role involves collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales, as well as travel to support customers and projects.
Define and drive the technology roadmap and innovation for Semiconductor ATE, automation, Si/SiC testing, KGD solutions, and next-generation equipment.
Lead ATE product development and commercialization, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
Manage project/program execution, budgets, profitability, risks, and deliverables.
Lead and develop cross-functional teams covering Mechanical, Software, Vision, Automation, and Engineering.
Drive R&D, product development, manufacturing improvement, and engineering innovation.
Manage customer and supplier relationships and provide technical solutions for new products and customized projects.
Conduct technical risk assessments, DFMEA, and mitigation planning.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Business Development.
Support customer presentations, technical proposals, feasibility studies, product demonstrations, and new business opportunities.
Strengthen organizational technical capabilities through coaching, training, succession planning, and knowledge sharing.
Travel as required to support customers, projects, and business units.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Years’ experience in engineering, mechanical design, semiconductor equipment, ATE/Test Handler, or product development, including 5+ years in leadership.
Strong Semiconductor ATE experience, especially Prober/Test Handler, with HV, high-current, hot/cold, open-short, Kelvin, or tri-temp testing.
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, automation, and process improvement.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, suppliers, and customers.
Strong project management skills covering product development, execution, cost, timelines, and risk management.
Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
