Job summary

Whatsupstateny is seeking a senior manufacturing leader in Malaysia to oversee outsourced semiconductor backend operations, drive strategic supplier partnerships, and deliver an operational roadmap aligned with product growth.

You will manage NPI, technology transfer, pricing initiatives, and site-wide cost optimization while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role demands strong cross-functional leadership and a proven track record in OSAT environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, OSAT backend operations, or supply chain leadership.
• Strong business acumen with supplier management and pricing negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to influence external manufacturing partners and drive alignment with company objectives.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor backend processes: assembly, packaging, testing, capacity planning.
• Demonstrated leadership building high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute outsourced manufacturing strategies with partners.
• Drive operational excellence to improve yield, cycle time, and quality.
• Lead commercial and cost management, including pricing roadmaps.
• Manage NPI and technology transfer for readiness.
• Define packaging, test, and manufacturing technology roadmaps.
• Oversee supply chain and sourcing, including out-of-China strategies.
• Support compliance, audits, and regulatory expectations.
• Interface with external manufacturers to enable cross-functional collaboration.
