1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Support the RCEO in strategic and tactical planning for hospitals within the region.
- Translate corporate and regional strategies into actionable plans at hospital level.
- Track progress against 5-year Strategic Plans (SP), identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions with hospital leadership.
- Support development and execution of regional initiatives and transformation programmes.
2. Performance Management & Operational Excellence
- Monitor hospital performance indicators (e.g., BOR, ALOS, revenue, EBITDA/PAT).
- Develop and maintain regional performance dashboards and reporting.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on underperforming areas and recommend improvement actions.
- Drive alignment across hospitals to ensure consistency in operational standards and service delivery.
3. Data Analytics & Business Insights
- Analyse monthly financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making at RCEO and hospital CEO levels.
- Evaluate revenue performance, cost drivers, and operational efficiency.
- Support development of business cases, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis.
4. Business Growth & Market Development
- Identify key revenue generators and growth opportunities (internal & external).
- Support development of new service lines, Centres of Excellence (COE), and clinical programmes.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic positioning.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive patient growth initiatives.
5. Project & Initiative Management
- Coordinate and track regional strategic projects and key initiatives.
- Act as a focal point to ensure timely execution and follow-through of RCEO directives.
- Support implementation of operational improvement and transformation projects.
- Monitor project outcomes and report progress to RCEO.
6. Financial & Investment Support
- Analyse financial performance and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Review business proposals including CAPEX, equipment purchases, and expansion plans.
- Conduct ROI and financial viability assessments for strategic investments.
7. Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Work closely with Hospital CEOs, department heads, and HQ functions (e.g., Group Clinical, Marketing, Finance, HR).
- Facilitate alignment between hospitals and corporate initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for RCEO.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.
8. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across hospital operations.
- Participate in ad-hoc strategic assignments and special projects as directed by the RCEO.
Job Requirement Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or related field.
- Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Experiences:
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in hospital operations, strategy, business planning, or consulting.
- Experience in healthcare industry is preferred.
- Strong exposure to data analysis, financial analysis, and performance management.
- Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic & Analytical Strong strategic thinking and planning capability. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
- Financial & Business Acumen Good understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and ROI analysis. Ability to evaluate business cases and investment proposals.
- Project Management Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver within timelines. Strong coordination and execution capabilities.
- Communication & Interpersonal Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication (English & Bahasa Malaysia).
- Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is an added advantage.
- Special skills required Ability to function as a regional coordination/PMO role. Strong business partnering capability with hospital leadership. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
