Job summary

CelcomDigi, Malaysia’s leading telco-tech company, seeks Head of Unit – Credit Assessment to lead credit governance, policy development, and collection strategies for sustainable growth. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognised university.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Credit Assessment function by establishing robust credit policies, frameworks, and governance to support prudent credit decision-making and sustainable business growth.
• Ensure effective implementation of credit assessment processes, controls, and risk management practices that align with the organisation’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through digitalisation, automation, and process optimisation to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Partner with Risk Management, Finance, Business Units, and other stakeholders to strengthen credit governance and support business objectives.
• Lead credit analysis, portfolio monitoring and management reporting across all business segments to identify emerging risks and trends and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide leadership and develop a high-performing team by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Lead strategic initiatives and change programmes to strengthen credit capabilities, governance, and operational effectiveness.
• Progressively oversee the Collection function, establishing an integrated end-to-end credit management framework to optimise portfolio quality and recovery performance.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
