Tri e Marketing Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Head of Accounts & Finance to lead financial planning, reporting, and compliance in a dynamic fulfilment and distribution group. The role requires overseeing accounting, treasury, tax, audits, and analysis while driving cash flow optimization and risk management.

The ideal candidate will manage a team, ensure statutory adherence, and collaborate with auditors, banks, and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience in accounting environment.
• Experienced in ERP accounting systems with strong MS Excel skills.
• Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good analytical, quantifying skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, audits and tax returns.
• Provide monthly/quarterly financial data and analysis to management.
• Review monthly performance for cashflow projection, budget and funding planning.
• Oversee financial operations including APs, treasury, assets, inventories, taxes and management accounting.
• Ensure statutory reporting, compliance and risk management.
• Lead credit control and receivables management to improve cash flow.
• Manage banking facilities and financing costs for cashflow.
• Work with division heads on budget and cost control, monitor costs.
• Tax affairs management for the group.
• Engage with auditors, tax agents, banks, and company secretary.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Head of Accounts & Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, experience in data analysis involved budgeting, accounting system/application evaluation and be proficient in using ERP accounting systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial reports, financial audit and tax returns.

Provide monthly/quarterly financial data and analysis on overall financial performance of the group/company to the management.

Review monthly financial performance for cashflow projection, budget and funding planning.

Oversee the financial operations including APs, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, taxes, financial accounting and management accounting; manage its' statutory reporting and compliance requirements.

Oversee the Company’s legal and contractual matters, including contract review, monitoring of contractual obligations, identification of financial and commercial risks, and liaising with relevant departments to ensure appropriate compliance and risk management.

Lead credit control and receivables management, ensuring timely collections, effective credit policies, management of overdue accounts, and improved cash flow.

Manage banking facilities and control financing cost to ensure effective cashflow management.

Work with all division heads on budget preparation and to achieve cost control for overall profitability improvement. Facilitate the team in cost analysis for cost monitoring/target.

Responsible for the tax affairs of the group.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretary and other statutory bodies/authorities.

Ensure compliance with statutory and other regulatory requirements including accounting, legal secretarial and tax matters.

Prepare specific reports according to management requests.

Manage a team of accounts staff on daily operations of the department for timely performance delivery.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, possess professional qualification in accounting such as ACCA or its equivalent.

At least 5 years' experience in accounting environment.

Experienced in ERP accounting systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, and proficiency in using AI tools for data analysis and reporting.

Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Good analytical, quantifying skills and strong attention to details.

Familiar with local banking instruments.

Trustworthy, reliable and with high level of integrity.

Good planning and organization skills.

Able to meet tight reporting deadlines and multitask effectively.
