Sime Industrial is seeking a senior leader to manage marine sales and after-sales operations, encompassing marketing, service delivery, and key account management across branches. You will coordinate with Head Office, drive new power solutions for government and marine sectors, and optimize manpower, tools, and parts logistics to maximize profitability.

Managing the product support sales and operations of the Marine Sales & After Sales businesses. These includes marketing, ensuring maximum customer coverage, monitoring market situation for Parts and Service sales potential as well as organizing marine service jobs in terms of manpower, tools, parts and logistical requirements. Responsible for monitoring branches timely completion of service deliveries to customers and key account management.
To ensure marine sales are covered for new marine power solutions within Governmental, OSV, Dredgers & Barges and ferries.
To continuously embrace with new technology and innovation to improve current work process increase efficiency and productivity.
To develop parts and service marketing offerings to new and existing vessels/platform operators/owners.
To be the key person for securing new customers and managing existing commercial marine sales & after sales customers.
Provide and share competitive market information as well as updates on changes in customer activities and market situation.
To provide solutions to customers on marine power solutions requirements when required.
To review branches debtors (marine customer) and ensure accounts are maintained within credit period accorded.
Responsible to ensure coordination and cooperation between departments at branches and Head Office in execution of Marine after sales service support.
Regular engagement with CAT for commercial and & technical support and market intelligence.
To actively push CAT merchandising solutions: Special Price Acquisition Request (SPAR) for new engines or gensets, maintenance program, remanufactured parts, precious metal overhaul kits, SOS, TA and other seasonal campaigns.
To maintain good customer partnerships on CAT marine equipment maintenance and ownership experience.
Responsible to maximize existing manpower and facilities to ensure effective utilization and profitability of product support division.
To provide a win-win solution for both SDI & customers.
Assist in planning of the annual forecast Marine repair schedules and resource requirements
To plan and execute Marine branches action plans in line with operational processes identified in relevant Marine accreditation programs.
The jobholder is not confined or exclusive to the above mentioned key responsibilities and may be required to perform other duties as and when required by the immediate superior and / or Management of SDI Division due to business expansions or requirements
10-14 years working experience in the same/equivalent industry. 5 years exposure in head office managerial level.
A good understanding and exposure of the electric power generation business.
Good interpersonal relationship with Principals, Customers, Vendors and all levels of Internal Staff.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Good command of English and possess effective writing skills and presentation capabilities.
Conversant with Engineering standards, codes and practices for the industry. Be conversant with and practice risk management techniques, conditions of tender bids and contracts. Sufficient understanding of financial tools to manage department operations effectively.
Ability to organize and co-ordinate between various departments within Power & Energy business to attend customers’ needs and requirement.
Work independently and able to work under pressure to meet customers’ expectations.
Resourceful, analytical and proactive to varied customers’ requirements and market conditions.
