KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital is seeking a nurse aide to provide essential patient care in alignment with nursing services policies. You will support the unit manager and accompany patients to diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely updates and compassionate interactions.
Responsibilities include regular patient rounds, maintaining ward cleanliness, handling calls, and assisting with transports and documentation. Hospital experience is a plus; English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is required.
1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide essential patient care by Nursing Services’ policies, cultivate respectful relationships with all hospital stakeholders and promptly notify relevant nursing authorities of any incidents requiring their attention.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide basic nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
Notifies the unit manager of any changes in the situation that could impact the standards of care.
Accompany patients to other services for diagnostic procedures, physiotherapy, and outpatient clinics, and fetch them back patients for uncomplicated cases.
Attends meetings held by the services to discuss issues and matters about the operation of the service.
Accountable for personal and professional growth and keeps up to date with professional change by maintaining mandatory learning hours. Maintain the record of personal leave and training attended.
Adhere to the hospital's policies and nursing code of conduct, ensuring patient confidentiality and standard infection control practices are upheld.
Assist the trained staff in managing the proper storage, condition, and availability of biomedical equipment in the unit, maintaining a sufficient supply of ward stock, and maintaining accurate records for equipment, medical supplies, and consumable item specimen collections.
Participate in new services, comply with 5S activities, and patient safety policies, and adhere to ISO, MSQH, JCI, PSG, BFHI, and NNA, ensure compliance with patient safety goals, and occupational safety measures. Adhere to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994, take reasonable care at work, cooperate with employers, wear proper PPE, and follow all safety and health instructions and measures.
Minimum of any primary form of education, or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. Experience working in a hospital setting is an advantage. Able to converse English language and Bahasa Malaysia. Have interpersonal and communication skills. Caring, honest, and responsible worker. Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shifts and weekends, public holidays and any time called during an emergency.
