Job summary

The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, experience in inventory and cost management, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Experience with mala tang is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant or F&B operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in halal restaurant operations or halal compliance is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of inventory control, cost management, and staff scheduling.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience in mala tang is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Ensure all employees follow company SOPs and operational standards.
• Monitor food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
• Lead, supervise, and train restaurant staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
• Monitor staff performance and maintain a positive working environment.
• Monitor daily sales and work towards achieving sales targets.
• Control food costs, labour costs, and operating expenses.
• Monitor inventory, stock replenishment, portion control, and food wastage.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and daily sales reporting.
• Ensure all food ingredients, suppliers, food preparation, storage, and handling processes comply with halal requirements and applicable regulations.
• Maintain proper segregation of ingredients, utensils, and equipment where required.
• Ensure employees follow halal-related SOPs and food safety standards.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
• Maintain relevant halal documentation and support halal audits or inspections.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies.
• Conduct regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure daily operational checklists and reports are completed accurately.
• Report operational issues and business performance to management.
