Job summary

Farm’s Best Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Masjid Tanah, Melaka, invites applications for a department lead role in production and quality within our poultry processing operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Food Technology or Halal Management and has 2+ years of related experience, preferably in poultry processing, with knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP and HACCP. Join a company committed to quality and halal integrity.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology, Islamic Studies, Syariah, Halal Management or related field.
• Experience of 2+ years in related field is advantageous.
• Preferably with experience in Poultry Processing industry.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, GMP & HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the production and sanitation operations of the department in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor the execution of the Company's strategic development projects towards continuous improvement and growth.
• Implementation and monitor of the Company's Quality Management System.
• Develop and execute operational plans to achieve departmental objectives, and recommend improvements or correction actions where necessary.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with halal certification requirements, including the preparation, handling, and processing of halal products in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Organise production schedule to achieve monthly targets for output, quality, productivity and yields, in a cost-efficient manner.
• Take appropriate action in response to quality issues and customer complaints, consulting with the Executive (Halal) or Manager when making decisions.
• Coordinate with the Technical Services Department on the Engineering needs in the department to ensure the facilities and equipment operate efficiently and production needs are met.
• Prepare accurate reports and records in a timely manner.
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop team members while fostering discipline and a high-performance work culture to ensure effective departmental operations.
• Carry out other duties assigned from time to time.
