Job summary

SC FOOD INDUSTRIES SDN BHD seeks a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to lead Halal certification, documentation and export compliance for own-brand and OEM products. You will coordinate MYeHALAL submissions, audits, and corrective actions with JAKIM/JAIS and customers.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in related fields and 2–3 years in Halal or regulatory roles, with strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills. Based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Halal Management, Regulatory Affairs or related field.
• Recognized Halal Executive competency/certificate or Halal competency training by JAKIM.
• 2–3 years of experience in Halal, Regulatory Affairs, QA/QC or food manufacturing.
• Experience with MYeHALAL/JAKIM Halal applications.

Job description

Manage Halal certification applications and renewals for own-brand and OEM products, including MYeHALAL submissions and related documentation. Maintain Halal certification records and support JAKIM/JAIS, customer and Halal audits, including follow-up on corrective actions. Manage regulatory compliance for food products, including ingredients, raw materials, product specifications, labelling and customer regulatory requirements. Manage export regulatory documentation, including Health Certificate, Certificate of Free Sale (CFS/FSC), Halal Certificate, COA, Certificate of Origin and other required export documents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Halal certification applications and renewals for own-brand and OEM products, including MYeHALAL submissions and related documentation
• Maintain Halal certification records and support JAKIM/JAIS, customer and Halal audits, including follow-up on corrective actions
• Manage regulatory compliance for food products, including ingredients, raw materials, product specifications, labelling and customer regulatory requirements
• Manage export regulatory documentation, including Health Certificate, Certificate of Free Sale (CFS/FSC), Halal Certificate, COA, Certificate of Origin and other required export documents
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, customers, importers, laboratories and internal departments for export documentation and regulatory matters
• Research and monitor destination-country food regulations and import requirements to ensure products and labels comply with applicable requirements
• Manage GACC registration/compliance and other country-specific registration or certification requirements
• Review and verify product labelling requirements to ensure compliance with applicable food labelling regulations and regulatory requirements of the respective destination country/market
• Support new product/OEM projects by reviewing Halal, regulatory, labelling and export requirements
• Provide regulatory and Halal support during customer, authority and certification audits and coordinate closure of related findings

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Halal Management, Regulatory Affairs or related field
• Possess a recognized Halal Executive competency/certificate or Halal competency training recognized by JAKIM
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in Halal, Regulatory Affairs, QA/QC or food manufacturing
• Experience with MYeHALAL/JAKIM Halal application
• Knowledge of Malaysian food regulations and export regulatory requirements
• Experience in Health Certificate, Free Sale Certificate, GACC and other export documentation is an advantage
• Good documentation, communication, coordination and follow-up skills
• Able to manage multiple regulatory applications and export documentation within required timelines
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
