Job summary

GERMAN DELICATESSEN SDN. BHD. is seeking a QA/QC and Halal Executive in Selangor, Shah Alam, to oversee food safety, quality monitoring and Halal compliance across operations. The role emphasizes practical audits, documentation control and supplier verification.

You will lead internal and external audits, ensure FIFO and FSMS/HACCP/SOP updates, maintain records, and respond swiftly to non-conformances, while coordinating Halal applications and certification with authorities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO22000:2018, FSSC, GMP and HACCP standards required.
• Halal Exec Certification and related Halal processes experience preferred.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete daily food safety/quality monitoring and verification.
• Lead and complete internal and external audits.
• Ensure FIFO procedures are followed.
• Update FSMS, HACCP, SOPs as needed.
• Ensure quality and safety of raw materials from suppliers.
• Maintain and organize food safety and quality records.
• Respond promptly to non-conformances/complaints/issues.
• Conduct frequent on-site monitoring to uphold quality and safety.
• Perform other general QA/QC tasks.
• Handle Halal applications and respond to Halal issues in a timely manner.
• Delegate tasks and assist in Halal matters (updating manuals/SOPs, Halal certifications).
• Ensure all raw materials meet Halal requirements and maintain Halal records.
• Manage Halal audits by authorities and renew certifications as needed.

Job description

A QA/QC and Halal Executive role in the F&B Industry responsible for food safety, quality monitoring, and Halal compliance who is available to start as soon as possible. The role combines quality assurance and responsibilities with Halal matters.

*Salary is negotiable depending on years of experience and qualification.

Key responsibilities

Able to assist and complete daily food safety/quality monitoring and verification.

Able to lead and complete audits (internal and external).

Able to ensure FIFO procedure is followed.

Able to update documents (FSMS, HACCP, SOP etc.) when needed according to necessary requirements .

Able to ensure quality and safety of raw materials from suppliers.

Able to maintain and organise necessary food safety and quality records.

Able to respond to any non-conformance/complaints/issues in a timely manner.

Able to do frequent on-site monitoring to ensure the food safety/quality is maintained.

Able to complete other general QA/QC tasks.

Key Halal related responsibilities

Experienced and knowledgeable in completing Halal applications and be able to respond to issues in timely manner.

Able to delegate tasks and assist in Halal matters ( applications, updating manuals, updating SOPs, maintaining Halal system etc ).

Able to ensure all raw materials from suppliers comply with Halal requirements.

Able to ensure all products have valid Halal certification and is renewed when needed.

Able to manage and complete audits done by Halal authorities.

Able to maintain and organise necessary Halal records.

Able to complete other general Halal related tasks.

About you

Possess either a diploma, graduate degree or higher equivalent in Food Technology/Science or other food related certification of said qualification level.

Knowledgeable and experienced in ISO22000:2018, FSSC, GMP, HACCP.

Currently obtain Halal Exec Certification.

Can work well with others and have good communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English.

Responsible, self driven, independent and able to handle tasks in a timely manner.
