Job summary

SIMPLEFOOD PLT is seeking a responsible QA & Halal Executive to uphold quality assurance and Halal compliance across products, processes, and documentation.

The role covers managing the Halal Assurance System, handling certification applications and renewals with authorities, and ensuring all materials, ingredients, suppliers and finished products meet Halal requirements. It also involves audits and continuous improvement of QA practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Assurance and Halal compliance
• Knowledge of GMP, hygiene and food safety practices
• Ability to manage Halal certifications and audits

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Halal Assurance System and Halal-related documentation
• Handle Halal certification applications, renewals and related documentation with authorities
• Ensure raw materials, ingredients, suppliers and products comply with Halal requirements
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, SOPs, records and quality-related reports
• Conduct routine quality checks and monitor compliance with company quality standards
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including Halal and quality audits
• Follow up on audit findings, non-conformities and corrective/preventive actions
• Monitor incoming materials, production processes, and finished products where applicable
• Ensure proper implementation of GMP, hygiene, food/product safety and quality procedures
• Conduct or coordinate Halal, hygiene and quality awareness training for employees
• Liaise with authorities, certification bodies, suppliers and other departments on QA and Halal matters
• Assist Management in continuously improving Quality and Halal Management System
• Perform other QA, regulatory or Halal-related duties as assigned

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented QA & Halal Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's Quality Assurance and Halal compliance systems, ensuring that products, processes, documentation and operations comply with internal standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the company's Halal Assurance System and Halal-related documentation.

Handle Halal certification applications, renewals and relevant documentation with the appropriate authorities.

Ensure raw materials, ingredients, suppliers and products comply with Halal requirements.

Prepare and maintain QA documentation, SOPs, records and quality-related reports.

Conduct routine quality checks and monitor compliance with company quality standards.

Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, including Halal and quality audits.

Follow up on audit findings, non-conformities and corrective/preventive actions.

Monitor incoming materials, production/process activities and finished products where applicable.

Ensure proper implementation of GMP, hygiene, food/product safety and quality procedures.

Conduct or coordinate Halal, hygiene and quality awareness training for employees.

Liaise with relevant authorities, certification bodies, suppliers and other departments on QA and Halal matters.

Assist Management in continuously improving the company's Quality and Halal Management System.

Perform any other QA, regulatory or Halal-related duties assigned by Management.
