Job summary

Vivo Food Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian halal-certified food company operating Vivo Pizza outlets, seeks a full-time Halal Executive in Masai, Johor. You will ensure halal compliance across licenses, product certifications, and supplier controls while coordinating with regulatory bodies and internal teams.

The role requires a minimum diploma or bachelor’s in halal fields, HPB-JAKIM Halal Executive certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. MHSM knowledge and QA/QC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Halal Industry Management, Halal Food Management, Halal Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or Quality Control/Assurance.
• Halal Executive certification from the Halal Professional Board (HPB) of JAKIM.
• At least 2 years of related working experience.
• Knowledge of MHSM and QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain current business licenses and permits at local, regional and national levels; prepare and submit license applications and renewal documents.
• Coordinate with government agencies and local authorities on licensing matters; collaborate with safety and regulatory bodies for compliance.
• Oversee halal certification processes for Vivo Pizza outlets; manage renewals for existing certifications and obtain new halal certificates as required.
• Register new products and apply for halal certificates with JAKIM; validate changes in raw materials and suppliers.
• Conduct supplier and ingredient compliance checks; investigate non-compliance and implement corrective actions; maintain compliance records.
