Job summary

Vivo Food Sdn Bhd in Masai, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a full-time Halal Executive to oversee halal certification, compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements across operations. You will monitor licenses, coordinate with authorities, manage halal certificates, supplier halal status, and conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing conformity with MHSM, JAKIM, ISO/HACCP standards.

Candidates should hold relevant halal industry qualifications, have at least 2 years of experience, and

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in Halal Industry Management, Halal Food Management, Halal Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or Quality Control/Assurance (or equivalent).
• Halal Executive certification from the Halal Professional Board (HPB) of JAKIM.
• At least 2 years of related working experience in halal compliance.
• Qualifications in Halal Management, ISO/HACCP or MESTI standards; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and renew licenses and permits; coordinate with government agencies.
• Oversee halal certification process; obtain/renew halal certificates for outlets and products.
• Register new products for halal certificates; liaise with suppliers on halal status.
• Conduct audits to identify halal/food safety issues; implement corrective actions.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and manage incidents including recalls.
