Attic Group Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Halal Certification Manager to oversee Halal certification and related documentation, ensuring all ingredients, products, suppliers and food handling processes comply with Halal requirements.
You will monitor Halal status, coordinate with suppliers and authorities, conduct internal checks and audits, and prepare reports for management while training staff on Halal compliance.
Manage and maintain the Company’s Halal certification and related documentation.
Ensure all ingredients, products, suppliers and food handling processes comply with Halal requirements.
Monitor Halal status and certificates of raw materials, ingredients and suppliers.
Ensure proper filing and updating of Halal-related documents and records.
Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and maintain valid Halal certificates and supporting documents.
Conduct regular internal Halal checks and inspections.
Assist in preparing the Company for Halal audits, inspections and certification renewals.
Follow up on any findings, corrective actions and improvements related to Halal compliance.
Conduct Halal awareness and basic training for employees when required.
Work closely with Operations, Kitchen, Purchasing, Store and other relevant departments on Halal matters.
Ensure proper handling, storage, preparation and processing of Halal ingredients and products.
Monitor changes and updates to Halal requirements and ensure the Company remains compliant.
Maintain proper records of Halal-related activities, training, inspections and corrective actions.
Liaise with relevant Halal authorities or certification bodies when required.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for Management.
Perform other Halal-related duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
Diploma or Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Food Technology, Hospitality or a related field.
Possess a recognized Halal Executive / Halal Management qualification or certification will be an advantage.
Familiar with Halal certification requirements and related documentation.
Knowledge of Malaysia Halal certification requirements and procedures is an advantage.
Good understanding of food handling, hygiene and basic food safety requirements.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with different departments and suppliers.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Willing to conduct internal inspections and attend audits when required.
Responsible, proactive and able to follow up on compliance matters.
