Job summary

Mercure Miri City Centre is recruiting a Halal Executive to establish, monitor and maintain Halal compliance, HAS, and HACCP across all F&B outlets and facilities. You will liaise with authorities, manage MYeHALAL documentation, and supervise audit readiness.

The role requires HACCP/food safety knowledge, meticulous documentation, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia communication in a hotel operations setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Halal management or related field.
• Certified Halal Executive / Halal Professional preferred.
• HACCP or Food Safety certification is an advantage.
• Experience in Halal compliance, food safety, hygiene, QA, F&B, or hotel operations.
• Hands-on MYeHALAL application and renewal, supplier verification, and audit preparation preferred.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia with strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Halal certification management, renewal, and maintenance.
• Prepare documents via MYeHALAL and liaise with authorities.
• Maintain Halal Assurance System (HAS) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor Halal status of ingredients, products, equipment and processes.
• Conduct hygiene and food safety inspections across kitchens, receiving, storage and F&B areas.
• Prepare audit documentation and track corrective actions.
• Train staff on Halal, hygiene and food safety requirements.
• Support supplier verification and documentation updates.
