Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified Halal Certification and QA/QC professional to manage Halal certification matters, prepare and maintain documentation, and coordinate audits for FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI. You will lead internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement in food safety practices.

The role requires minimum 3 years in Halal certification and QA/QC, with hands-on experience in submissions and audit coordination; familiarity with Malaysian Halal standards and

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Halal Industry, Biology, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years in Halal certification and QA/QC, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Certified Halal Executive with hands-on experience in Halal submissions, documentation, and audit coordination.
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI requirements and implementation.
• Familiar with Malaysian food safety regulations and Halal standards.
• Experience in handling certification audits and regulatory inspections.
• Internal Auditor certification for FSSC 22000 or HACCP an added advantage.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Halal certification matters, including new applications, renewals, amendments, and correspondence with relevant authorities.
• Prepare, maintain, and update all Halal documentation and records to ensure compliance with Halal certification requirements.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external Halal audits, ensuring timely closure of any non-conformities.
• Prepare documentation and coordinate internal and external audits for FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI certification.
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI management systems.
• Oversee the daily operations of the QA/QC Department to ensure product quality, good hygiene practices, and food safety standards are consistently maintained.
• Guide the production team on quality control issues to enhance product quality.
• Conduct internal quality and food safety training for employees.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
