Job summary

ROYALE CHULAN SEREMBAN invites a Guest Service Assistant to join the Front Office team in Negeri Sembilan. You will be the first contact for guests, ensuring comfort, satisfaction and loyalty from arrival through departure, contributing to our reputation for hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, providing facility information, handling check-ins/outs, resolving inquiries, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Front Office or Guest Services.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle guest requests calmly and efficiently.
• Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
• Neat appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
• Capable to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fresh graduates with hospitality qualifications are welcome.

About the role ROYALE CHULAN SEREMBAN is seeking a Guest Service Assistant to join our Front Office. This is a full-time position based in Negeri Sembilan, where you will play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences. As a Guest Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our valued guests, ensuring their comfort, satisfaction and loyalty from the moment they arrive. This role is fundamental to maintaining our reputation for outstanding hospitality and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival and departure

Providing accurate information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions and events

Processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously

Handling guest inquiries and requests promptly, and escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary

Maintaining detailed guest records and ensuring all information is accurately logged in the property management system

Assisting with room assignments and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams

Managing guest complaints with empathy and resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction

Providing information about dining, spa, recreational facilities and local recommendations

Assisting with bell desk duties, including luggage handling

Ensuring the front office area remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times

Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues across all departments

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 year of experience in Front Office, Guest Services, or a similar hospitality role is preferred.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure

Fluency in English and Malay; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous

A neat, professional appearance and willingness to adhere to strict grooming standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team

Fresh graduates with relevant hospitality qualifications are encouraged to apply.
