Job summary

Royale Chulan Seremban in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team across all guest areas. You will oversee daily operations, uphold cleanliness standards, and ensure smooth coordination with front office and maintenance to maximise room availability and guest comfort.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and schedule housekeeping staff to ensure efficient daily operations and consistent quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities to maintain cleanliness and presentation.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
• Address guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly, coordinating with other departments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations throughout all housekeeping operations.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for housekeeping activities.
• Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and disciplinary action where necessary.
• Report on housekeeping metrics including room status, turnaround times and quality audits.
• Coordinate with front office and maintenance departments to optimise room availability and guest comfort.
• Maintain detailed records of room maintenance, staff schedules and equipment repairs.

• Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques and industry best practices
• Familiarity with IDB system is an advantage.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks including cleaning and lifting
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Malay or other local languages is advantageous
• Problem-solving ability and strong organisational skills
• Customer service orientation with the ability to respond professionally to guest requests
