Job summary

Bottega Mediterranea Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Reception Manager to lead the front of house, oversee reservations, and ensure a warm, guest-centric experience for every guest.

The role requires 3–5 years in reception or FOH with supervisory experience. Strong English communication and VIP handling skills are essential, with evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in reception, guest relations or Front of House operations, including supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Strong guest service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SevenRooms is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Guest Experience – lead the guest welcome and farewell, manage guest feedback and build relationships with regular and VIP guests.
• Reservations & Seating – manage reservations, table allocation, seating plans and guest flow for smooth service.
• Team Management – lead, schedule, train and develop the Hostess and Reception team while upholding service standards.
• VIP & Guest Preferences – coordinate VIP arrivals, special occasions and dietary requirements with FOH and Kitchen teams.
• Group Bookings & Events – coordinate group bookings, private events and arrangements, including deposits and cancellations.
• Systems & Reporting – maintain reservations and guest records using SevenRooms and other systems, and prepare basic reports.
• Standards & Compliance – maintain reception area and ensure data privacy, health and safety policies.
