Randstad Malaysia is working with a leading, public-listed diversified group in East Malaysia who is seeking a commercially astute, transformative Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) to lead the organization from its headquarters in Kuching, Sarawak.
This is a mandate for an executive leader capable of stewarding a multi-industry asset portfolio, driving operational performance, and capitalizing on strategic expansion across regional and global markets.
Group Strategy & Commercial Execution: Formulate and drive a cohesive long-term strategy across all business units, optimizing operational performance, cash generation, and return on assets (ROA).
Capital Allocation & Portfolio Management: Oversee full P&L, balance sheet health, and disciplined capital allocation. Evaluate new ventures, strategic investments, and joint venture partnerships—including shaping the group's role and entry strategy into the data centre ecosystem.
Operational Leadership & Capability Building: Lead and empower division heads and senior leadership across operating entities; foster a performance-driven culture with robust succession planning and talent development.
Board & Stakeholder Governance: Work closely with the Board of Directors, ensuring rigorous corporate governance, transparency, and high credibility when engaging institutional investors, financiers, government authorities, and strategic partners.
Growth & Diversification: Balance disciplined risk assessment with an entrepreneurial mandate, taking major developments and infrastructure partnerships from feasibility through successful commercial execution.
Executive Experience: Substantial track record as a Group CEO, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer (COO), or Divisional Head leading a sizeable, multi-business unit or diversified conglomerate.
Financial Accountability: Demonstrated success managing full P&L, balance sheets, and large-scale capital deployment with a proven history of improving earnings and operational cash flows.
Sector Background: Deep expertise in at least one asset-intensive sector—preferably Property Development, Construction, Infrastructure, Energy / Oil & Gas, or heavy industrial sectors with the breadth to oversee varied business lines.
Pivotal Leadership Mandate: Opportunity to direct the strategy and execution of a premier East Malaysian listed group during a crucial growth transition.
