Job summary

Perdana University in Kuala Lumpur invites a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team on a full-time basis at our Bukit Damansara campus. You will develop visual content that strengthens our brand across print and digital channels and collaborate with marketing to advance university communications.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, 2–3 years’ experience, and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related creative discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in graphic design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and creative capabilities.
• Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to translate concepts into compelling designs.
• Understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout composition.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and handle multiple projects with competing priorities.

About the role

Perdana University is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team on a full-time basis at our Bukit Damansara campus in Kuala Lumpur. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling visual content that supports the university's academic mission, enhances its brand presence, and engages our diverse stakeholder community. What you'll be doing

Design and create visually engaging marketing materials, including brochures, posters, banners, and digital assets for print and online platforms

Develop and maintain consistent brand guidelines across all university communications and publications

Produce graphic content for social media channels, newsletters, and website updates

Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to conceptualise and execute creative campaigns

Design educational materials, presentations, and infographics that support academic and administrative functions

Create event promotional materials and signage for university functions and activities

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards

Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and refine designs to ensure alignment with university vision and objectives

Stay updated with current design trends and best practices in the creative industry

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related creative discipline

Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in graphic design or a similar creative role

Proficiency in industry-standard design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and creative capabilities

Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to translate concepts into compelling designs

Understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout composition

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and take constructive feedback

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Knowledge of digital design standards and web design principles is advantageous

Experience in higher education or institutional communications is preferred
