Job summary

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Executive, Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. You will create and oversee engaging visual content across digital and print platforms, delivering high-quality designs that support MCKL's marketing initiatives.

You will lead creative projects, collaborate across departments, and contribute to student recruitment campaigns and campus events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Multimedia, Digital Marketing, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI or other relevant design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior design staff to ensure high-quality creative output and professional growth.
• Oversee conceptualization and production of visual materials, including digital and print marketing collateral, decks, events branding, templates, and social graphics.
• Ensure brand guidelines are consistently applied across all visual content and conduct brand briefings with internal stakeholders.
• Develop innovative design concepts to support student recruitment campaigns and institutional promotions.
• Plan and direct professional photoshoots to expand the internal image database.
• Support multimedia efforts such as event photography, videos, and campus signage.

What you will bedoing:

• Lead and mentor junior design staff to ensure high-quality creative output and professional growth.
• Oversee the conceptualization and production overall visual materials, including digital and print marketing collateral, presentation decks, event branding, corporate templates, and social media graphics.
• Ensure consistent application onboard guidelines across all visual content and conduct brand briefings or internal stakeholders when necessary.
• Develop innovative design concepts and creative solutions to support student recruitment campaigns, institutional promotions, and cross-departmental initiative.
• Strategise, organise, and direct professional photoshoots to continually expand our internal image database or diverse visual needs.
• Support multimedia efforts such as event photography, promotional videos, and campus signage or institution-wide activities.
• Collaborate closely with the team and other departments to translate project objectives into compelling visual outcomes.
• Participate in key events, such as Open Days and external engagements, to represent and enhance the College’s visual brand.
• Assist with administrative and ad hoc tasks related to design work as required.

Who we are looking for:

• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Multimedia, Digital Marketing, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI or other relevant design tools.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects effectively
• Team player with good interpersonal, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Willing to travel when required.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
