Job summary

Xircle Talent represents a major Malaysian hospitality and leisure operator seeking a Golf Course Operations Manager to lead daily golf course activities and drive revenue growth through memberships, events, and guest services.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and expertise in course maintenance, PMS/POS usage, and guest-focused service in a busy venue. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in golf course management or senior roles within hospitality or leisure.
• Strong understanding of golf course operations, turf care principles, and commercial aspects.
• Proven leadership in directing cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Experience with PMS, POS platforms, and MS Office.
• Customer-focused with emphasis on guest satisfaction.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day golf course activities including tee time scheduling and pro shop oversight.
• Oversee course maintenance with Head Greenkeeper to ensure turf health and regulation compliance.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow revenue from green fees, memberships, and F&B.
• Lead golf operations team including professionals, caddies, and clubhouse staff.
• Plan and coordinate golf tournaments and corporate events with flawless logistics.
• Monitor budget, manage expenses, and identify revenue opportunities.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols for chemicals and equipment.

Job Summary

This role leads the operational, commercial, and maintenance aspects of a golf facility to ensure high standards of playability and safety. The position drives revenue growth through membership management, tournament coordination, and exceptional guest services while overseeing daily course activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day execution of golf course activities, including scheduling tee times, managing the pro shop, and overseeing clubhouse services to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Supervise the upkeep of course conditions by working closely with the Head Greenkeeper to maintain turf health, optimize irrigation systems, and ensure adherence to local environmental regulations.
• Formulate and implement commercial strategies to boost income from green fees, membership sales, corporate packages, and food and beverage outlets.
• Lead and develop the golf operations team, comprising golf professionals, caddies, and clubhouse staff, to uphold high service standards and brand consistency.
• Plan and execute golf tournaments, corporate events, and special functions, ensuring flawless logistics and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Track financial results against the budget, manage operational expenses, and identify avenues for increasing revenue and improving cost efficiency.
• Enforce rigorous compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols, including the proper management of chemicals and equipment.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background in golf course management or senior positions within the hospitality and leisure industries.
• Solid understanding of golf course operations, turf care principles, and the commercial aspects of the golf sector.
• Proven leadership capability in directing cross-functional teams and managing external vendor relationships.
• Strong financial skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and managing profit and loss statements.
• Competence in using Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A strong focus on customer service, with an emphasis on retaining members and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
